WHY WE USE RICE BRAN OIL?
Being one of the pioneers of Burger Restaurant startups in Kochi, we are bound to serve the best in terms of quality and taste. Ours is an industry where what quality gets served on the table depends a lot on the type of ingredients and cooking medium used. Be it deep frying or any other kind of food preparation, oil is something very important for all kinds of restaurants. From french fries to other fried products, we cannot stress more on the importance of oil quality in food.
We use Rice Bran oil as a cooking medium for certain products along with the policy of not reusing oil. Not everyone is bothered about the quality of what is being served when the food in front is mouth-watering. But using Rice bran oil has increased our serving standards as it has helped in the safe health of our happy customers.
We prefer Rice Bran oil over other oil for the following reasons
- Oil has a neutral taste with a slight nutty flavor making it ideal for cooking all kinds of food.
- Contains good fat, a balanced proportion of saturated fatty acids, monounsaturated fats, and polyunsaturated fats and also is free of transfat.
- Oil is also known as ‘Heart-Friendly’ oil as it helps in decreasing cholesterol absorption due to the presence of oryzanol which is an antioxidant.
- Less viscous and sticks very less to the food and hence tastes less oily while eating.
Over and above these benefits, Rice bran oil has a high smoking point viz. the point at which the chemical composition of oil breaks and it becomes unfit for further use. Often, overheating oil disrupts the chemical composition and releases free radicals which can inhibit the normal functioning of our body. Rice Bran oil contains 37% of polyunsaturated fats and 45% of monounsaturated fats and has a high smoking point of 254 degrees Celsius which makes it even safer to use for stir-frying or deep frying. Burgeria is not a place that will compromise on the quality of food for increasing the revenue. Instead, we serve our limited menu but at its best not only in terms of quality but also on the impeccable taste.
